The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall to visit the Gulf

TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi and Dubai) on a tour of the Gulf from 19th to 28th February 2007.
Their Royal Highness’ visit to the Gulf will reinforce Britain’s friendship with key allies at the most senior levels. It will advance key British Government priorities in the promotion of moderate Islam, military co-operation, environmental protection and energy security.
To this end, the tour will include extensive meetings with the Ruling Families, senior religious leaders, military personnel, business leaders and educationalists.

The Prince of Wales last visited the UAE in 2004 to attend the funeral of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nanyan; The Prince had previously visited the UAE in 1999.
